The Tecno W5 has a 5.5 inches IPS HD display, this makes makes the Tecno W5 a good choice of smartphone for lovers of  phones with large display. The W5 features same screen resolution of 1280×720 just like its predecessor- the Tecno W4. You will always enjoy viewing clear images as well as watching HD videos with the Tecno W5.
Just like the Tecno W4 which was introduced as the first Android 6.0 marshmallow device from Tecno Mobile, the Tecno W5 decided to still retain the a bit outdated Android 6.0 Marshmallow with customized with Tecno’s HiOS.
This is however not discouraging, considering that only few Android phones currently ship with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS, and looking at Tecno history of bringing latest OS to its Smartphones, it is quite too early to anticipate a Tecno phone with Android 7.0 OS.

Tecno W5 is powered by a Quadcore Mediatek processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz and supported by an insufficient 1GB of RAM, you shouldn’t expect World class and a completely lag free experience when running your applications with the W5 especially if you are a heavy user.

The Tecno W5 has 16GB internal storage space. This may not be adequate for some users, especially the heavy multimedia consumers, but not to worry, the Tecno W5 internal storage can be expanded up to 64GB using Micro SD card with a dedicated slot for the SD card.
Tecno W5 boasts a 13MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video recording ability. With a meagre 5MP selfie camera on the front panel, you may not get the best Selfies and Video calls experience. The W5 uses a fingerprint scanner that is located at the back just below the rear camera and flash light, the scanner provides for more secured unlock for the device and can also be used to control app permissions as well as other purposes.

The firmware bellow is in scatter format so this means you can flash with SP Flash tool, Infinity Chinese Miracle II MTK Box, 

Miracle Box (If indicated that it's a Miracle Box Dump) or any other Chinese box or tool which supports flashing in scatter format.

Before flashing, ensure that:

The battery is charged to an extent and inserted into the phone

The phone is powered off / switched off

You have installed MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM drivers

You have downloaded either part of or the complete firmware bellow
